FOOD Share is dedicated to feeding, nourishing and educating the hungry of Ventura County, educating the community on those who are hungry and why, and advocating a reduction of the root causes of hunger.

Your troop will be responsible for distributing fliers in the homes in the neighborhood, collecting donations and delivering to Food Share, located at:  4156 Bank Rd., Oxnard, CA 93036.

Multiple troops may select the same month to organize a food drive, as long as they are not in the same neighborhood.  Also, we should not hit up the same neighborhood more than once every three months.

Our Girl Scout service unit will reward each girl who participates in your troop's food drive with a Food Drive patch.  The patches will be presented at the monthly service unit meetings.  If possible, please have each girl present to receive her patch.  To qualify for patches, please provide the service unit with the following:  A photograph with the girls who participated along with the bags of food collected.  We will also need a list of all participants.
